Alaska Solid Waste Workgroup

The Alaska Solid Waste Workgroup is comprised of representatives from agencies and organizations (state/federal governmental, non-governmental, and tribal) that are involved with solid waste. The workgroup started meeting three years ago and has been a successful way of sharing information about all past, present, and future solid waste projects going on.

The workgroup meetings are co-organized and co-facilitated by Joe Sarcone, Rural Sanitation Coordinator at EPA, and Ray Paddock, Solid Waste Website coordinator at CCTHITA.

Next Meeting

Our last work group meeting was held on May 16th, 2006 (see minutes from the meeting below). The next meeting date tentatively scheduled for October 2006 during the ATCEM/IGAP Conference.
