The
National Center for Environmental Health
The National Center for Environmental Health (NCEH) works to prevent
illness, disability, and death from interaction between people and
the environment. NCEH tracks and evaluates environment-related health
problems through surveillance systems and performs both laboratory
and field research. The organization works with domestic and international
agencies and organizations to prepare for and respond to natural
technologic, humanitarian and terrorism related environmental emergencies.
The site includes a wide array of fact sheet and brochures, scientific
publications, employment opportunities, training, and a children’s
section. Check out the site at: www.cdc.gov/nceh/
CDC's
One-Stop Shop for Environmental Public Health Data
This Web site provides a reference list of nationally funded data
systems that have a relationship to environmental public health.
The list is not meant to be a comprehensive inventory. Rather, it
highlights the major data systems with a national scope where public
health and environmental data can be directly downloaded from the
Internet. Check out the site at: http://www.cdc.gov/nceh/data.htm
